Keith McGovern is the President of R.D. Offutt Company and several affiliated organizations (RDO), which is one of the largest farming and food processing concerns in the United States, with annual revenues exceeding $750 million. McGovern has 30 years of experience in the agriculture industry, specializing in leading commercial potato farming and potato processing operations. Under his direction, RDO manages a total of 300,000 acres of farmland and annually farms over 100,000 acres of crops ranging from RDO’s main crop, potatoes, to wheat, onions, peas, alfalfa and organic produce. RDO also includes potato processing plants that process frozen potato products, potato flake, fresh pack potatoes, and potato ‘dough’ for a variety of U.S. and overseas customers. Two dairies produce 4,900,000 cwt of milk annually with a milking herd of 30,000 head. McGovern currently serves on the Management Committee of Lamb-Weston/RDO Frozen, a frozen potato product processing group that is a joint venture with Lamb Weston, Inc., the Board of Alliance for Potato Research and Education (APRE), and on the Board of Governors of Idahoan Foods, LLC, a major producer of potato flake products.
